Sergio Calderón & Céli Lee – 吉光片羽 2026 – Last Space Remaining 01 吉光片羽, for Yasushi Inoue, "Life of a Counterfeiter" 2:35 A few days ago I wrote down in my diary, “artist: the one who lives; of whom it can be said that “sees life.” I also wrote: “but before, at the cafe, I didn’t want to see; now at the cliff walk I wanna see; sea, light of life, like: breath, light of this world.” Yasushi Inoue saw life, and now, right now is on the page, for the reader to see, as something that happened and it is happening now. While reading it. I had been thinking about Life of a Counterfeiter, and somehow, I was also listening to some of my recordings. 吉光片羽 is a song I started some time ago, but it wasn’t finished. It wants to be finished now. Now, while listening 吉光片羽, I can see some of the images of Life of a Counterfeiter, as if it was a hypothetical soundtrack. I can see the art forger travelling a long way to tell the woman who had abandoned him that the painter has died. I can see the art forger, who ended up his days making fireworks, firing them always with his back to them, to his work, which he never got to see. Sergio Calderón, 24 September 2026
